Biography
Sergei Bodrov was born in 1948, in Khabarovsk, Soviet Union (now
Russia). Following his 1974 graduation from Russia’s premiere film
school, VGIK, Bodrov spent three years as a special correspondent
for Krokodil Magazine. He made his first foray into film direction
in 1984 with Sweet Dreams in the Grass which he co-helmed with Amanbe
Alpiev. In 1996, Bodrov won international acclaim with his drama
